Hi,

How do we add a travel itinerary (arrival date/time, departure date/time) for each person that is registered? Is this still an option? We have done it in previous years but cannot find a link to this.

Any help before the January 31st Midnight deadline would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The letter signed by the President of the organization requesting a UN Grounds Pass to attend to the Commission, should be sent before it? or may be presented in New York before the start of the Commision?
Thanks again.

Before arriving to CSW, the online grounds pass application form, which is available in CSOnet, needs to be filled out and printed for all participants. Participants will be required to bring two print-outs of this form to the on-site registration in order to obtain a UN grounds pass.

Dear Negucci Women In Construction and Technology,

Thank you for your message. Please be advised that the link to the CSW56 online pre-registration is working, however NGOs need to be in consultative status with ECOSOC in order to be able to pre-register representatives via this link. According to our records, Negucci Women In Construction and Technology is not in consultative status with ECOSOC (please see http://csonet.org/content/documents/E2011INF4.pdf for a list of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC)

We welcome you to view the live webcasts of meetings provided via United Nations Webcast at http://www.un.org/webcast/

Also, there are many parallel events held outside of the United Nations that do not require membership in an NGO in consultative status with ECOSOC. The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, which is a group of New York-based women┐s NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC, facilitates hundreds of parallel events that are held at the Church Center at the corner of 44th Street and First Avenue (across the street from the United Nations complex). Please visit its website at http://www.ngocsw.org should you be interested in finding out more.

If your organization wishes to apply for consultative status with ECOSOC, please refer to the website of the NGO Branch of Department of Economic and Social Affairs: http://csonet.org/?menu=83

Please be aware that the accreditation process takes at least several months to complete.

Dear Union de l'action fÚminine,

It looks like there are two different profiles in the system for the same organization (one profile showing consultative status with ECOSOC and the other one not). You will need to login with the account that shows consultative status with ECOSOC in order to pre-register your representatives to CSW56.

To assist with this issue, we sent an email to the official address of your organization. Kindly reply to this email,

We regret to inform you that only NGOs in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) are eligible to attend annual sessions of the Commission on the Status of Women. Please find a list of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council as of 1 September 2011 here: http://csonet.org/content/documents/E2011INF4.pdf

We welcome you to view the live webcasts of meetings provided via United Nations Webcast at http://www.un.org/webcast/

There are many parallel events held outside of the United Nations that do not require membership in an NGO in consultative status with ECOSOC.

Best regards,
