Introduction
Dhaka City corporation DCC¿s Word No. 82 and Social Development Association jointly organized a Clean Dhaka Week campaign in which Dhaka City citizens of DCC Word No. 82 had participated. By doing the activities mentioned below towards cleaner Dhaka City with all our community organization, neighborhood association, residential association, sports clubs, youth clubs, University clubs, etc., the Ward with the largest number of participants during the Week awarded at the Awarding Ceremony of DCC.

The theme of the campaign is ¿ let¿s keeps our cities clean for the next generation¿. The awareness to fight against dust developed by us.



Methodology used

Our project is innovative and unconventional as in the sustainable environmental technologies developed by us to complete a Clean Dhaka week 2010. It provides an alternative to the old technologies of training program and training workshops and to educate our community organization, neighborhood association, residential association, sports clubs, youth clubs, University clubs for environment.
Techniques and strategies used
The impact of our work is evident, as we have completed a Clean Dhaka week 2010 in old Dhaka in Bangladesh and run it for a week commenced from 10 January 2010 and end 16 January 2010. Clean Dhaka week 2010 maintained by our Social Development Association, 200 students as well were able to educate themselves by various technologies developed by us in the scheduled duration of the project.

Implementation methodologies
Upgraded training program and training workshops for ¿Clean Dhaka Week campaign¿ and road rally. Provided non-formal practices. Provided skilled training . Clean Dhaka week 2010. Our methodology is that we propagate and implement the above technologies. Individual in the area of old Dhaka in Bangladesh and motivation of beneficiaries do this when we go house to house, give information to them, motivate, educate and train them to clean the old part of Dhaka. We helped them by arranging road rally and the road show that raised hopes for cleaning old Dhaka in Bangladesh. Members of our Social Development Association do implementation, maintenance and follow-up.


Chief Waste Management of DCC Bipan Kumar Saha said at the workshop it is our duty to fulfil cleaners' right of safety and security. He called upon the cleaners to follow the sanitation system and maintain proper healthcare so that they can work well. Dr Sanjida, assistant health officer of DCC, explained the importance of keeping cleaners working environment clean and instructed how to use the first aid kits which were distributed to working people during the workshop. The importance of using safety gears and first aid kit was also discussed. Along with a series of cleaner's workshops, DCC together with SDA expert team is renovating and constructing word solid waste management offices to strengthen the functions of ward-based solid waste management to better serve the Dhaka citizens.

Costs associated with project development and/or implementation
The cost associated with the Clean Dhaka week 2010 project development and implementation of our activities is much lower than that involved in conventional styles of formal cleaning. Which are expensive and unaffordable for individual in the area of old Dhaka in Bangladesh. Additional Information

The ¿Clean Dhaka Week campaign¿ in which a large number of individual in the area of old Dhaka in Bangladesh had shown a largest comprehensive health care network so far attempted in which any Dhaka City citizens of DCC Word No.82 participated. Public places, high-rise buildings, places of congregation and where the dust exists as textile, stitching leather waste. We encouraged the individual in the area of old Dhaka in Bangladesh to clean. For them we have arranged road rally and the road show that raised hopes for cleaning old Dhaka in Bangladesh. This had promoted educational environmental improvement as well as provided human dignity. In the above perspective we had mobilized people¿s opinion to compel the big problem of the country to clean dust in the area of old Dhaka in Bangladesh through our planned programs
