Food to help win peace in Afghanistan

How to win the peace in Afghanistan is a major question the Obama administration is currently grappling with. But no analysis (..) will be complete without looking at the hunger and poverty that afflicts so many Afghans. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) helps Afghan families struggling because of high food prices in the country. Programs like school feeding are run by WFP as well as initiatives to increase local food production.
