Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, 2009 Regular Session
19 - 28 January, 2009 The Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, a standing committee of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), is scheduled to meet 19-28 January 2009 for its 2009 Regular Session. The Committee, comprised of 19 member states, mandated with the responsibility to monitor the evolving relationship between non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the United Nations, will examine new applications from NGOs seeking consultative status with ECOSOC. The Committee will also consider requests for reclassifications and submissions of quadrennial reports. Please note that NGO participation is by invitation only. If your application, or quadrennial report, is being considered during the 2009 Regular session, you may pre-register to this event.
