It is of global importance that Noncommunicable Diseases have been selected to deal with at this Informal Interactive Hearing and also at the High Level meeting of the General Assembly come June-September.Most of these chronic respiratory diseases can be controlled and be prevented if all hands are to be on deck. Why should the States allow tobacco products be manufactured for consumption while they have detrimental effects on the populace? Is it because high taxes are received from these companies? Honestly we are not doing justice to ourselves. Let UN Member States be urged to lend a helping hand in handling this situation with maturity to save mankind.
