Organizational structure: FAWCO's clubs stretch across six continents, from Norway to Kenya, and from Antigua and Barbuda to Australia. The Board of Directors is elected every two years by delegates from the 65 member clubs in 34 countries. The issues that led to its creation continue to be addressed through voter registration drives worldwide; dissemination of information on education, U.S. citizenship, living and working abroad; support programs for women and children in Third World countries to support the UN Millennium Goals in the areas of health, education, human rights and the environment.
Number and type of members: Over 10,000 members with 60 clubs located in 34 countries around the world. The membership is made up of American and international women living abroad both temporarily and permanently.
Affiliation with NGO networks: Member of CONGO since 2001 and participates on the NGO Committees on the Status of Women in NY, Geneva and Vienna, and NGO Committee on Migration.
