Mission statement:	American Mothers, Inc. ® is a national network of women across the United States who care about the well being of mothers and children. American Mothers is the official sponsor of Mother’s Day and the Mother of the Year® award and hosts an annual convention of American Mothers where the National Mother of the Year® is named. As a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations, and leader of the Global Motherhood Coalition, American Mothers organizes annual panel discussions on issues impacting mothers and children.
