Mission statement:	Aim for human rights (formerly HOM) is committed to the implementation of human rights and aims to translate human rights norms into practice. The main objective of Aim for human rights (formerly HOM) is to contribute to a more effective implementation of human rights by translating human rights norms into methods and tools to assess the impact of policy and practices on specific human rights. In concrete terms the translation of human rights into practice means that Aim for human rights will: - Develop, test and promote instruments that enable measuring the effect and impact of policies and practices on human rights, in close cooperation with non-governmental organisations, governmental institutions and the business community. - Enhance the capacities of civil society organisations, such as human rights organisations and women’s organisations, to strengthen their role vis-à-vis governments and other actors. - Engage in advocacy in order to influence policies which affect human rights.
