Mission statement:	Global Education Motivators, a non profit educational corporation, was organized for the purpose of promoting global education in schools and communities throughout the United States and the world. This is accomplished through the development of teacher/student workshops, research projects, teacher in service programs, and study/travel trips, with emphasis on cultural awareness. Cross cultural understanding and the development of friendship is accomplished through through an international communication network promoting people to people exchanges using communication technologies. Curriculum assistance is given to help implement an interdisciplinary approach to teaching interdependence in the classroom. GEM will exchange materials and/or ideas with like non profit organizations to strengthen on going global educational programs. Individuals in schools and communities will be aided in developing skills needed to respond effectively, responsively and compassionately to world events, needs and eco systems. It is education for a complex global society.

Organizational structure:	The business of GEM is managed by a Board of Directors, which shall consist of a minimum of five (5) and the maximum of fifteen (15) members, each of whom shall be natural persons of full age and who need not be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Directors must be elected by a two thirds (2/3) majority vote of all directors then serving. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the terms of directors to be elected in any year shall be for a period of years (but not to exceed three (3) years) such that not more than 1/3 of the Board shall be elected in any future year. The President of the GEM board is the Chief Executive Officer with the primary responsibility for the operations of GEM. He/She reports to the board quarterly for advice and direction. The boardias moving from advisory to the role of dirceting the future of GEM.
