Organizational structure: The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia) is a not for profit organisation. It is a Company Limited by Guarantee. The Foundation is administered by 8 voluntary board members. There are 4 paid staff who manage the supplies distribution and transport of the kits to their overseas destination. The voluntary work of making clean birthing kits is done in Australia at assembly days by Zonta International club members, highschool and university students, church groups and service clubs.
Number and type of members: Our membership lies between 90 and 110 each year. Members are individuals who value the work of the foundation. They are over the age of 18 years from all areas of the community
Affiliation with NGO networks: We are affiliated with over 40 NGOs including Zonta International, Marie Stopes International, Save the Children (India),Terres Des Hommes, Mission in Health Care and Development , Afar Pastoralist Development Association, Abraham oasis (Ethiopia)
