Mission statement:	To provide a forum for leadership and exchange in international policy processes with regard to alternative or renewable energy sources such as albeit not limited to wind, water, solar, geothermal, biomass, and biofuels, as well as energy efficiency, clean development mechanism, and greenhouse gas abatement. To encourage, support and strengthen appropriate policies that increase the judicious utilization of alternative or renewable energy in developing and industrialized economies particularly in the Asia Pacific basin. To act as a catalyst of cooperation among governments, international institutions, non-governmental organizations, industry associations, and other partnerships and initiatives with regard to the utilization of alternative or renewable energy sources. To push for the identification, study, evaluation, analysis, and development of policies, projects and programs on renewable and alternative energy resources and energy efficiency. To promote, recommend and endorse the development of clean and reliable alternative energy sources like clean coal technologies and natural gas. To explore, develop and accelerate the utilization and commercialization of alternative or renewable energy sources to support the Asia Pacific basin's energy needs, reduce dependence on fossil fuel, attain energy security, and sustain economic growth. To facilitate the Asia-Pacific basin's transition from fossil fuel sources to a sustainable system with renewable energy as an increasingly prominent, viable and competitive option towards energy security in the region.

Organizational structure:	APBest is consist of eleven (11) Trustees who consist the Board of Trustees and they are to serve as such until their successors have been elected and qualified. From these the following positions are elected and qualified in accordance with the Constitutions and By-Laws of the Association: Chairman, Corporate Secretary, President, Executive Vice-President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Spokesman and General Counsel. The Association counts as its members persons known for their expertise and contribution in the energy,legal, economics, social and community development, and labor fields.

Purpose of the organization:	APBest seeks to attain energy security in the Pacific basin through agreements on global pricing and supply-and-demand models that are reasonably profitable and socio-economically responsive. To this end, the Association seeks to organize, encourage and promote advocacies and initiatives to bring to the urgent attention of the United Nations (UN) the unabated global increases in oil prices.
