Organizational structure: Access Now is a non-profit public benefit corporation recognized in the United States as a charitable and educational 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. The organization is led by a Board of Directors. The organization is then managed by an Executive Director who oversees team members across programmatic arms, with each arm being led by a Director. Additionally, the Director of Operations works in support of the Executive Director and with the Directors of each arm to implement programs.
Number and type of members: Access Now does not have a formal membership structure, nor does it charge fees for membership. Access Now works closely with other organizations on a number of projects and maintains an email list of people who support digital rights issues, follow the activities of the organization, and participate in advocacy activities.

Publications: Access Now publishes a number of policy documents each year pertaining to its mission. While we do not have regular publications that we publish on an annual or semiannual basis, we are continually publishing papers and resources on the range of issues that we work on.
Purpose of the organization: Access Now is a global movement premised on the belief that political participation and the realization of human rights in the 21st century is increasingly dependent on access to the internet and other forms of technology. Access Now teams with digital activists and civil society groups internationally to build their technical capacity and to help them advocate globally for their digital rights. Access provides thought leadership and practical policy recommendations in the broader field of internet freedom, and based on that expertise mobilizes its global movement of citizens to work for an open internet accessible to all.
Activities relevant to the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: Underpinning Access Now's work is the vision of an open internet accessible for all, which is consistent with the objectives of the conference of States Parties to the convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in particular Article 4(b) and Article 9.2(g).
Confirmation of the activities of the organization at the regional, national or international level: Access Now is active on a national, regional, and international level. For example, we participate in the US Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC) on the national level; European Parliament and Commission and the African and Latin American Internet Governance Forums on the regional level; and the UN Internet Governance Forum, the ITU's World Telecommunication/ICT Forum (WTPF) as a member of the Informal Experts Group (IEG), and the ITU's World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT) at the international level.

These supporters are spread across 185 countries.
