Mission statement:	The Trade Union's fundamental purposes are; protection and development of public, economic, social, cultural and professional rights and interests of its members. Aims to help the preserved settlement of Democracy, the realization of social justice and peace. Its activities are based on; Universal Declaration of Human Rights , fundamental rights and freedoms and the rule of law and democracy. In order to achieve the goals of the trade union: To ensure better wages for a life worthy of human dignity and jobs wih justice, better working conditions and professional reputation for its members. to ensure that its members will have fair appoint and transfers. to ensure progress in the profession of their members, to ensure the improvement and development of education, healthcare and social conditions of its members and their families, ensure that in the case of retirement, disablement, widows and orphans can be able to benefit from the necessary care and protection measures in the state, to give financial, legal and social assistance in case of victimization by employers. to raise the level of the disabled members and their life conditions, for female members; to facilitate their professional activities, to help them to benefit from basic human rights and freedoms, free education and equal opportunities in education for everyone to educate its members not to discriminate people by their language, religion, race, and political opinion, who know their responsibilities, social justice and to live in peace, attending to the management plan, schedule, management, execution and supervision to create administrative systems respectful to national, democratic and ethical values, revealing his thoughts with a sense of responsibility for social issues and make the fight as its duty.

Number and type of members:	As of the end of 2018,our trade union has 70.124 members.Bem-Bir-Sen has been selected official trade union for having the most members in the last 9 years in a row.In addition to permanent and contract staff in municipal officers in the Provincial Special Administration officer is also a member of our union. Our union has 11000 female members, 6740 firefighter members, 1855 under the age of 25 members and has 98 branches in total in 81 cities,9 of them in İstanbul and 5 of them in Ankara. There are 20 employees at the headquarter,5 women and 15 men.Besides the Youth Section there is also Women and the Family and Youth Communication Committee exists and our activities continue throughout Turkey. Our ongoing collaboration with unions over 40 countries continues and with over 15 international unions we have cooperation agreements.
