Mission statement:
Create a vision of humanity as one family Foster moral, social, and aesthetic values through educational programs and artistic and leisure activities Establish prenatal education programs, birth centers and prenatal education centers worldwide Promote the development of a way of life that embraces the laws of nature and respects the earth as one living organism. This new educational system comprises a diverse, yet integrated curriculum that leads to a more holistic understanding of oneself and one’s relationship to others, and to the natural environment. The 8 UN Millennium Development Goals have been cornerstones in all our programs and activities. IDEAL’s most promising program is New Beginnings—Prenatal Education for the Future, based on a curriculum that emphasizes sound nutrition, exercise, and other holistic practices before, during and after pregnancy. To be conducted through a network of prenatal education, health and healing centers worldwide, this program supports the empowerment of women by improving maternal health, and consequently, reducing child mortality (MDG #3,4,5). Prenatal education (particularly as designed and promoted by IDEAL) has the support of both mainstream and alternative medical practitioners.
