    Organizational structure: Non-Governmental Organisation Founded by Late Professor Babatunde Fafunwa. UNA-Nigeria is a member of the Geneva based World Federation of the United Nations Associations (WFUNA) which was established close on the heels of formation of the UN in 1945 as a global organization with the primary mission of mobilizing and promoting wider support for UN goals. All Member states of the United Nations have such an NGO. UNAN formally registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in August of 2018 and has Eight (8) prominent Nigerians as Trustees of the Association.     Number and type of members: 178 members whose expertise cut across diverse sectors. UNA-Nigeria draws its membership from the general public, youth, women in groups, top Nigerian Diplomats, Professionals and others who share the vision of the promoting public understanding of the role of the UN in shaping international relations and maintenance of international peace and security as well as development particularly in the developing world.
