    Organizational structure: DRPI is co-directed by Bengt Lindqvist, Sweden (UN Special Rapporteur on Disability (1994-2002) and Marcia Rioux, Canada. It has a 16 member international Advisory Committee. The DRPI Coordinating Centre is based at York University in Toronto, Canada and there are regional centres in Argentina, Rwanda, Serbia and Thailand.
    Number and type of members: DRPI is not a membership-based organization.
    Affiliation with NGO networks: DRPI works cooperatively with local NGOs in all of its country projects. It has formal Memoranda of Understanding with three international disabled peoples organizations: DPI, RI & WNUSP
