    Year of registration: 1994
    Organizational structure: Governance is by a Coordinating Committee and Chairperson who are elected annually by the members, at the Annual General Meeting. Staff functions are led by the Coordinator.
    Number and type of members: At January 2012 ANGOA has 97 members, all of whom are NGOs and most of whom are councils or federations of community-based organisations. The members cover every part of the community, not-for-profit sector in New Zealand; welfare, health, disability, human rights, international development, ethnic groups, immigrants and refugees, education, mental health, recreation and sport, conservation and environmental sustainability, social policy, gender and family planning, aged care, etc
