Mission statement:	Trócaire works in partnership with communities in the developing world to support their efforts to improve their lives, meet their basic needs and ensure their human dignity. Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world: Where people's dignity is ensured and rights are respected; Where basic needs are met and resources are shared equitably; Where people have control over their own lives; Where those in power act for the common good. As a member of the Caritas network of Catholic development and humanitarian agencies, Trócaire can reach remote communities all over the developing world, creating long-term projects aimed at delivering long-term results. In Ireland, we raise awareness about the causes of poverty through our outreach programmes in the education sector, through parish networks, and through our public campaigns and advocacy work.
