Organizational structure: |
HIGGS is organized in a loosely hierarchical structure. More specifically, on the top of the hierarchical organogram, the Director of HIGGS is found. The Director is followed by two Project Managers, being responsible for its two capacity building Programs for NGOs, the Accelerator and the Incubator. On the next level of the organogram, three Assistant Managers are found who are responsible for assisting both the Director and the Project Managers by working on different projects (Events, Communication, Research, Fundraising etc) and for processing all the daily administrative duties of the organization. Additionally, HIGGS’ Programs are supported by external associates who provide to Accelerator and Incubator participants individual counseling on legal, tax and marketing issues and management to address their general or special needs. HIGGS is running an Internship Program, individually and in cooperation with Greek Universities. Its Internship Program lasts for six months covering two positions, while the student’s internship through Universities lasts for at least two months. Moreover, HIGGS is open to other internship arrangements such as for example EU students coming to Greece under the Erasmus+ program. During 2017 HIGGS has hosted 4 students from Bologna University. The interns are involved in HIGGS’ main research and training activities and in promoting HIGGS’ international profile by disseminating its programs. Lastly, HIGGS’ strategy and Programs are supported by its Advisory Board, consisted of seven (7) members, from the NGO and private sector as well as from academia. The Advisory Board provides advisory guidance in the strategic planning of HIGGS and offers consultation, suggestions and feedback on the proposals developed by the Accelerator participants. |
