Mission statement:	1M1B (A Million for A Billion) Foundation’s mission is to empower and enable 1 million people who will drive 1 billion people out of poverty. 1M1B is a leadership, innovation and a skills accelerator aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It creates jobs and enhances income for underserved communities by engaging urban young leaders and corporations. It is accredited to the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI). 1M1B's partners include UN Habitat, Department of Science and Technology (Government of India), University of California Berkeley, Tata Trusts, Arch Angels Washington DC, United States-India Strategic Partnership Forum, McKinsey and IBM. 1M1B's initiatives are present in the Caribbean's, Singapore, India, United States and Vietnam. It is a 501 c3 non-profit organization established in USA on October 2, 2014 with its headquarters in India. The people and enterprises that 1M1B support address a very specific local issue which potentiates a big social impact in the community. The biggest advantage of 1M1B's initiatives is that they are co-created with the local community and hence can be customized for people of various cultures and backgrounds, so it remains relevant around the world. The goal is to catalyze self-sustaining systems within countries that will continue to foster leadership, entrepreneurship and job creation for its communities.
