    Organizational structure: Ubuntu is a forum of debate and action permanent in its virtual form and periodical in its physical manifestations. 1. Participants in the forum are all those organizations and/or people who accept the essence of the founding documents and wish to participate. The sovereignty of the UBUNTU Forum resides in its participants.2. The UBUNTU Forum functions in accordance with the following procedures:a) The Meeting of the forum: this is held every one or two years. The agenda and main documents are to be debated in a prior participatory process. The virtual Meeting of the forum is that which permits the permanent forum and will be carried out in the forum's virtual space. b) The Coordinating Committee (and where necessary, the Working Groups): this is the body of work and general motor which guarantees appropriate functioning, procedures and activities of the forum.c) The Ad Hoc Secretariat: this constitutes the professional management of the forum, an entity with its headquarters at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelonad) Decisions are taken by consensus whenever possible, and otherwise by simple majority of the participants. The decisions taken are never binding for a minority opinion. Any decision and/or public manifestation of the initiative must be accompanied by a list consisting exclusively of the participants who have voted in favour or expressed their support for it.
    Number and type of members: UBUNTU counts with about 110 participants. The type of members range from: a) intellectuals, b) international networks of NGOs and c) academia and media.
