About WFF Women’s Freedom Forum (WFF) is a 501(c) 3 independent women’s rights education organization associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information. WFF’s aim is to raise public awareness on issues relating to women’s equality, legal and human rights, political participation and empowerment. WFF aims to uplift the voices of marginalized women in the Middle East and place them into mainstream public discourse in order to create greater knowledge and understanding about particular issues and to ensure that their voices are heard. Mission WFF’s mission is to spread awareness and inspire understanding of the problems related to women’s rights, gender apartheid, misogyny, human trafficking, and to empower women and men worldwide to actively participate in the advancement of women’s rights and gender equality. WFF achieves its mission by: Educating and constructively engaging the public, governmental agencies, international bodies, and policy makers to facilitate social change and promote women’s rights worldwide Advocating for enabling policies and resources. Serve as a catalyst for advocacy and policy changes that seek to advance women’s rights in the Middle East and around the world Informing and sharing information on issues jeopardizing women’s rights and the potential for capacity enhancement. Exposing gender apartheid, violence against women, misogyny, human trafficking, child abuse, job discrimination, and in particular the threat of fundamentalism on women’s rights. Empowering and inspiring to action individuals, groups, and institutions concerned with women’s rights and the principles of human dignity. Providing a voice for the marginalized women living under misogynistic societies so as to unleash the potential for women empowerment and to challenge social control, claim their rights, and transform their societies. WFF works primarily in the Middle East, focusing on this region due to its strong social problems including but not limited to a system of gender apartheid, illiteracy, violence against women, forced child marriage, human trafficking, job discrimination, and misogyny. Vision WFF’s long-term vision is for women to live in a world where there is equality, social justice, and respect for women’s rights. To this end, WFF’s organizational vision is to be a leader in women’s rights promotion and protection in the Middle East.
