Organizational structure: The organization's general affairs are managed by the Board of Directors. The Directors are responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with its bylaws and mission. They also support the organization by fundraising, approving the annual budget, distributing content, and appointing a Coordinator to execute day to day operations. AIN's current Coordinator is Kathryn Ledebur who, along with 2 full time staff members and occasional consultants, carries out the organization's projects and activities. Over the course of 26 years living and working in Bolivia, Ledebur has established a high level of trust with major Bolivian and international players. Although the Coordinator generally formulates the organization’s policies and strategies, AIN firmly believes in collaborative decision-making and team building. Daily communication between all staff members and frequent exchanges of opinions are key benefits of having a small organization, and are crucial to the effectiveness of AIN’s work.
