GMI is part of the United Nations Global Compact network, which is a policy initiative for businesses which are focused at promoting the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals, especially in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti corruption. As such, the Global Compact assists the private sector in the management of complex risks and the application of sustainable solutions.
In addition, during 2010, we partnered with several organizations around the world in order to support the International Year of Biodiversity as declared by the United Nations in order to safeguard the variety of life on earth. |

Gold Mercury International is part of the Civil Society Network (CSO, which is coordinated by the NGO Branch, Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations. The web portal of this network is a platform where NGOs and UN entities may submit implemented best practices, request for development solutions, propose projects, publish news feeds, write articles, engage and moderate discussion groups and publish and manage events and meetings.
In addition we have established Glogonet, which is Gold Mercury's International collaborative network of key specialist actors in Global Governance, including international organizations (i.e. UN, UNESCO, FAO), think tanks (i.e. Brookings Institute, Chatham House), academic institutions, media, the private sector and individuals that contribute vigorously to the debate about Global Governance. Glogonet forms Gold Mercury's future-orientated collaborative research and resource centre. The network is continuously updated with new organizations which we have identified as pioneers in the field of sustainable development. We are positioning Glogonet as the world's most comprehensive network of visionary experts in sustainable global governance and business and an invaluable tool for global governance monitoring and cooperation.
Lastly, as part of our effort to contribute to the millennium development goals, we have partnered with the Global Virology Network (GVN) whose members are among the most prominent medical virologists in the world. The GVN is committed at combating virus threats to the world population and it is directed by Dr. Robert C. Gallo, co-discoverer of HIV. |
