Social Development

Affiliation with other organizations: 1. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) 2. Help Age International (HAI) 3. HumanaS network - network of humanitarian civil society organizations working for and with the older people. The network is formed at the initiative of Red Cross Serbia in May 2004. when 15 organizations have joined the cooperation agreement. Based on experience based on difficult transitional processes, network will provide support for the dignified life of the older people, while providing participation and input in policy-making and development.

Description of the membership of the organization, indicating the total number of members: Membership of the National Society is voluntary based. The National Society is open to membership without any discrimination based on origin, race, nationality, sex, religious beliefs or political opinions. Every natural person who shall accept the Statutes and the Fundamental Principles and who shall pay the membership fee can become member of the Red Cross. One shall acquire the capacity of a member by being registered by the local branch and by paying the subscription. In 2013 385.339 persons paid the membership fee.
