Terra Renaissance is the Japanese based Non Government Organization (NGO) working on the issues of landmines, small arms, and child soldiers. It has been twelve years since its establishment in 2001. The organization started its activities in Cambodia focusing on the issue of landmines, and expanded its projects to Uganda in 2005, Democratic Republic of Congo in 2006, Laos in 2009, Iwate in 2011, and Burundi in 2013. There are currently 48 staff members working towards the vision of the organization with the financial support from the Japanese citizens. Our vision is that it brings peace to the world: create a society where all living beings can live safely without fear and want with the following principle; 1. We believe that each and every one of us has a power to create the future and thus we strive to fully actualize the
potential of each citizen. 2. We believe that real change begins with internal changes and therefore each and every one of us is a central
figure in these changes. Our respect for other individuals and groups is based on the foundation that they are also
central to change. 3. We will not give up on our work understanding that everything can be changed constantly.
And our mission is to to raise awareness of our responsibility to the next generation through our programs, and respect and practice a simple life style considering a sustainable environment for the future generation in order to achieve our common goal, world peace.
