About us
ASPIRE stands for ‘Action by Students to Promote Innovation and Reform through Education’ and is a student-driven initiative that was established to promote the implementation of the ten basic principles of UNAI—such as universal education, capacity-building in higher educations, and global citizenship—through the active involvement of students. ASPIRE started with ten hub universities, each designated by UNAI, with the objective to bring about a global change through education. Furthermore, ASPIRE aims to build cooperation and exchange not only amongst students within the university, but also with other universities worldwide, as well as civic, non-profit, and governmental organizations. By promoting cooperation and active participation amongst students from all over the world, ASPIRE aims to raise their interest and induce their involvement in taking practical measures to the challenges faced by the world today. The members of UNAI ASPIRE Korea acknowledge that they are responsible as part of the world’s top one percent’s beneficiaries of higher education, and thus pledge to give back to the international society through various activities such as global citizenship education, domestic and international volunteer work, and advocacy campaigns.
