57th Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD57)

The fifty-seventh session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD57) will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in February 2019 (Dates to be confirmed). The Commission is the advisory body responsible for the social development pillar of global development.
Priority Theme for the 2019 Session:
Addressing inequalities and challenges to social inclusion through fiscal, wage and social protection policies
Review of relevant United Nations plans and programmes of action pertaining to the situation of social groups:
- Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities
- World Programme of Action for Youth
- Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, 2002
- Family issues, policies and programmes
Important information about CSocD57 registration:
Last year, a new platform was introduced for managing NGO registration to meetings and events at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The platform is called Indico, and it replaces the registration functionality of the previous system called CSO-Net.
CSocD57 registration for NGOs in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is open from 24 October 2018 to 27 January 2019 online. Online registration is mandatory for all participants. Please note that all registrations need to be approved by the their organization Focal Points by the deadline of 18 January 2019 at the latest. We are not able to accept registrations by e-mail.
