Organizational structure: CHOICE’s General Board (GB) is the governing body of the organization (registered foundation with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce) and determines the organization’s policy and strategy and is responsible for the realization of it. The GB oversees if CHOICE daily work is in line with our policies, (multiannual) year plan, monitors fundraising opportunities, and coordinates the volunteers. The Advisory Board of CHOICE advises the General Board. The Executive Director (ED) is mandated by the General Board with the day-to-day management of the foundation. The ED and the General Board meet every 3 weeks to discuss internal and programmatic developments. The ED is supported by 8 staff members who are in charge of the daily activities of the organization and the implementation of programs. CHOICE also has a group of about 25 volunteers who we call Youth Advocates. They are organized in different clusters, all focusing on an organizational task such as communication or member management. The Youth Advocates also provide the trainings for our partner organizations and participate in advocacy in Geneva and New York.
