Mission statement:	ACCADEMIA INTERNAZIONALE DI ALTI STUDI "HELENA PETROVNA BLAVATSKY" ( Emanazionde dell'Istituto Internazionale per le Relazioni Diplomatiche-IIRD ) Helena Petrovna von Han nacque settimina in un paesino ucraino. Era la primogenita di un colonnello ucraino, il quale discendeva da una famiglia nobile di stirpe prussiana, e di una romanziera russa, Helena Andreevna, nata Fadeeva. Il nonno era, invece, un cultore di poteri occulti. Per sottrarsi alla tutela della famiglia, Helena a soli diciassette anni sposò un generale, che aveva allora 48 anni. Il matrimonio ebbe rapidamente termine, senza essere consumato, anche se non venne formalmente sciolto, cosicché Helene continuò a portare il cognome del marito con cui è nota ancor oggi. Nel 1851 conobbe a Londra un iniziato anglo-indiano, tal Rajput (in sanscrito figlio del re) Mahatma (Maestro) M. (Morya), che le fece intraprendere la strada della teosofia. Indi fece alcuni viaggi che riprese nel 1865 dopo una breve pausa nella sua nazione natale. Nella sua breve parentesi italiana ebbe modo di conoscere Garibaldi, con cui partecipò alle battaglie di Monterotondo e di Mentana. Nella battaglia di Mentana venne trafitta da due pallottole al torace. Creduta morta, venne gettata in una fossa comune. Venne salvata da alcuni non ben identificati maestri.[1] Indi continuò a girovagare per il mondo. Nel 1875 a New York fondò la Società Teosofica con Henry Steel Olcott, William Quan Judge ed altri associati. Così Madame Blavatsky scrisse dei libri sulla religione che fece conoscere al mondo le sue conoscenze nella materia teologica ma anche sul mondo esoterico conosciuto tramite i libri del nonno durante l'adolescenza. Nel corso del suo soggiorno americano Helena si sposò una seconda volta (senza che il primo matrimonio fosse stato annullato), in un periodo difficile in cui aveva bisogno di sostegno. Anche questo matrimonio, tuttavia, non fu consumato, e si concluse rapidamente. Per il resto della sua vita, accanto a lei troviamo altre donne, anche aristocratiche, che fondevano il ruolo di compagna a quello di mecenate. Dopo una breve parentesi in India dove nell'ottobre del 1884 riferì del maestro Hilarion (scrivendo il suo nome Hillarion), asserendo essere questi recentemente asceso, nell'agosto del 1890 fondò l'"Inner Circle" di 12 discipline. Si stabilì infine a Londra, ma sofferente di problemi cardiaci e reumatismi, una banale influenza la portò alla morte nell'8 maggio del 1891. Il suo corpo venne cremato. Il New York Times in tempi recenti scrisse di lei: «Helena Petrovna Blavatsky ... ha avuto un cattivo servizio da parte della stampa fin dal suo primo apparire come organizzatrice della Società teosofica... Una delle grandi donne libere della sua epoca – non poté che attirare il disprezzo e critiche infuocate su ogni sua azione o parola, specialmente quando pretese di poter sfidare impunemente le più salde ortodossie dell'epoca. Ancora oggi, gente che non ha mai letto un rigo dei suoi scritti, continua ad avere l'adamantina convinzione che essa fosse una visionaria o una maniaca...»[2]

Domenico Musumarra; SEGRETARIO GENERALE: Nomina in corso di Ratifica.
