Mission statement:	Multicultural Alliance of Behavior Analysts is a special interest group of the mother organization, Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI: http://www.abainternational.org). The ABAI organization consists of over 20,000 members from all over the world who are professionally qualified Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). The purpose of Multicultural Alliance of Behavior Analysts is to connect behavior analysts who have interest and/or experience in serving multicultural/minority populations-whether they be ethnic, religious, geographic, socioeconomic. The hope is to create a network of behavior analysts who speak a language or have a skill set relevant to a given population with people who need those services, as well as to connect behavior analysts with others who share common interests. An additional purpose of the Multicultural Alliance of Behavior Analysts is to spread the mission of ABAI worldwide while being in alignment with the NGO of the civil society of the United Nations Our mission is to better the quality of life and social functioning of individuals with special needs: this will be achieved through social outreach, policy development, research and education. Due to improved technology, disabled individuals can reach much higher level of functioning previously unheard of. We will educate and train family members and professionals working with special needs individuals on the latest in research and treatment; we aim to replace previously low expectation of families with new found optimism. We aim also to promote dialogue between the special need individual with the community; When the message is spread globally, a unity will be fostered that binds people towards the ultimate goal of human rights for individuals with special needs. Addressing the issue on disability will ultimately result in a more humane community consistent with the values of Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Organizational structure:	President Vice-President Media Liaison Cultural Liaison, President- Sakurako Tanaka is a native of Hakodate, Japan. Vice President, Dana is an assistant professor at the Pennsylvania State University, Clinical Director of Behavior Analysts for Aptitude Habilitation Services, Inc., and owner of Garner Behavioral Services, LLC. Secretary/Treasurer Jane Yip obtained her PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia. She completed her post-doctoral training in Eli Lilly and Company, Indianapolis. Her research, performed in Boston University and Purdue University, is on (i) the brain circuit that underlies neurological basis of behavior, and (ii) neurological study of various treatment modalities for autism where she has written peer review publications. She Runs a program for Autism Parent Care. Student Representative, Preetinder Narang is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Ph.D. Student in Developmental Psychology and Education at the University of Toronto, Canada. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters degree in Special Education, with concentration in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. Interimn Vice-President Kozue Matsuda is the President of Children’s Center, Tokyo, Japan. She earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary/Special Needs Education from the University of Sydney, NSW, Australia, and Master of Science in Psychology. Steve Fong, Director of Technology- Steve has over 12 years of experience working in the finance and information technology industries. This work includes helping organizations, both large and small, in creating and implementing IT strategies, supporting and maintaining existing infrastructures, and working on projects to improve and streamline processes. His educational background consists of a Master of Science in Information Sciences from Penn State University.
