Mission statement:
Aathung Foundation is an Indigenous Youths Leading Voluntary Organization in Bandarban Hill District, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. It was established by a group of dedicated Indigenous young persons in 1 November 2011. Our mission is to promote and protect the marginalized and Indigenous peoples in conditions of illiteracy, social injustice, disease and natural disaster. Our contributions aim to bring out meaningful social changes through social and economical activities that competent Indigenous men and women to recognize their potential. In our organization The General body is the main body of the organization and meets at least once every year to decide on the direction of Aathung Foundation. Executive Committee (EC) is the governing body of the organization. EC is consisted with 7 members headed by Chairperson. An Advisory Committee composed of maximum 3-member indigenous prominent persons guides and advises the Executive Committee. The Chairperson is the chief functionary of the secretariat of Aathung Foundation and supervises the daily working of the secretariat and others branch offices.
