Mission statement:	Province of Potenza is a Local Public Authority acting as a Local Government. So, its institutional mission covers all the fields of a local government: socio-economic, environment, education, culture, land management and use, viability and transport, territorial safety and civil protection, information systems, etc. In particular, as regards the territorial competences (land-use governance and safety), the Province of Potenza has a territorial coordination role over 100 Municipalities. At this regards, The Province has recently approved its provincial “Structural Master Plan” (Territorial Coordination Plan, TCP, 2013) which identifies strategies for the development of the territory and communities and provides important planning actions for the implementation of local communities resilience through the coordination of the urban plans. The TCP represents the natural evolvement of the provincial actions in Disaster Risk Reduction, Civil Protection and in the improvement of the communities' resilience over the territory.
