Mission statement:	Ace provides the essential technical foundation necessary to address the most pressing challenges facing economically distressed populations and developing nations. Ace solutions span education, agriculture, energy and security. Ace’s CORE services enable rapid, inexpensive software development that can run on multiple infrastructure abstraction layers: i.e. any hypervisor, any infrastructure, any PaaS platform. The introduction of CORE changes the game for non-profit projects, opening up a vast landscape of opportunity previously out of reach. By pre-integrating the components and providing a rapid application development factory, thousands of projects that were discarded, delayed or shelved will be brought to life and help those most in need around the world. Unlike today’s methods that price many necessary projects out of the market, CORE services are meant to open new pathways for low cost innovation. By providing building blocks into the global community at no cost, novice and experienced developers alike can more quickly solve problems and deploy them into the community. Just as the desktop publishing revolution sparked creativity around the world so will Ace’s CORE services spark technical innovators to try new things at minimal cost. In addition, to promoting the use of the building block CORE services for rapid innovation, Ace will sponsor several projects a year to prove out the model and advance the technical innovation it can provide. Among the first projects now in the research phase is a system to improve the distribution of water in impoverished communities: “Project LiQuid””. The project’s goal is to enable micro-transactions among the unbanked for the creation of an entrepreneurial framework that will facilitate water getting from the point of purification to the point of consumption—in essence, an entrepreneurial economy around the distribution of clean drinking water. Partnering with an internationally recognized leader in water purification systems, the initiative has several phases—each leveraging the CORE open source technologies.
