Mission statement:	DCI is dedicated to ensuring ongoing, practical, systematic and concerted global action directed towards promoting and protecting children’s rights as articulated by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), its optional protocols and all other human rights standards and instruments. DCI is a grass-roots network of national organisations-coordinated by the International Secretariat- whose actions are driven by a human-rights based approach.
