Mission statement:	* To promote public awareness of all legal instruments for minority and human rights protection as subscribed to by the United Nations and international law * To assist individuals and groups to access international tribunals through our international legal consulting service. * To assist in the publicizing of important UN documents, particularly in relation to minority rights. * To participate in UN-sponsored events of importance to minorities, particularly as it relates to self-determination. * To help governments to better understand the needs and demands of minorities, and to call governments’ attention to the particular needs of formerly enslaved minorities. * To provide a vehicle whereby significant minority complaints can inform the UN system, particularly as the above relate to areas in need of conflict resolution.

Number and type of members:	IHRAAM serves as an umbrella utility for the participation of diverse minority groups in UN fora and other activities. The leadership of diverse groups sit on its Directorate, and mobilize their various membership structures in support of IHRAAM programs.
