If yes, explain in detail: NFYOB organizing various seminars, workshops, discussions, rallies and motivational projects on Sustainable Development issues in the country which might also create impact over the region. The idea of sustainable development has attracted both developed and developing world with very different interests. Now-a-days, the term ‘sustainable development’ is used over a wide range of affairs from the world of commerce to the realm of social and human welfare in both developed and developing countries. NFYOB is planning to organize a regional workshop with the theme “how the idea of ‘sustainable development' be translated into principles on which practicable and effective policies can be based and which will reverse current unsustainable trends of resource depletion and human oppression in developing world?” A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Peace Child International and National Federation of Youth Organisasions in Bangladesh on Road to Rio+20 on May 13, 2011. The background of this MoU is Road to Rio+20 is the global youth mobilization towards Rio+20, focusing on: coordinating and supporting partner organization’s opportunities for involvement; scaling up youth participation in the mobilization and in the opportunities it presents; providing a direct link to the Rio+20 UN process and enabling it as an outlet for the mobilization. By creating critical mass of partners and young people participating in their opportunities for involvement, the project aims to inform and influence the process and outcomes of Rio+20 and therefore have a long-term impact on sustainable development policies and practices worldwide, while at the same time building a more sustainable world day by day through direct action. NFYOB has applied for the Equator Prize 2012. The Equator Initiative has announced the Equator Prize 2012, which will recognize 25 outstanding local initiatives that are working to advance sustainable development solutions for people, nature and resilient communities. Representatives of winning communities will participate in the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), which will be held in Brazil in June 2012. NFYOB members attended youth caucus meetings of the UN CSD. In 2007 one member of NFYOB attended CSD15 and the Intergovernmental Preparatory Meeting for the fifteenth session of the Commission on Sustainable Development was held in New York from 26 February to 2 March 2007.There were parallel interactive discussions on the themes of Energy for Sustainable Development, Industrial Development, Air pollution/ Atmosphere and Climate Change.

Commission on Sustainable Development:
There is a growing acknowledgement that micro-credit programs have potential for equitable and sustainable development. However, we think the micro-credit program might be a way to achieve sustainable development in Bangladesh as well as in the Asia-Pacific region if the interest rate could be made simple and lower. To achieve sustainable development, NFYOB implemented many projects in rural anmd urban areas of Bangladesh. Several training and programs were organized on self-employment for the rural unemployed youth. E.g., Training and Self-employment for Rural Youth’ project was organized in 12 different villages which was aimed to provide mobile training on livestock and poultry farming for the poor youths in the rural villages. About 4800 poor youth were train up in different villages. After the training, interest free loans were given to them to run their own income generating entrepreonial projects. This project may be implemented in other South Asian Countries. Bangladesh has the highest rate of youth unemployment. This is mostly caused by illiteracy and no knowledge of Information Communications Technology for most jobs require knowledge of ICT. The lack of knowledge is attributed to no access to ICT since there are no Multi-purpose Information Centers in Bangladesh.
