Organizational structure: |
Organizational Structure: The organizational structure of the union comprises the following: 1.The General Congress (GC): It’s the supreme authority of the union, and it convenes once every three years. 2.The Council of Trustees (CT): Consists of 40 members .Its main function is to make sure the policies and plans of the union are carried out as approved by the General Congress and as such approves the plans, the regulations and the general budget and provides the financial resources necessary for its implementation . 3.The General Secretariat: The supreme executive authority of the union chaired and supervised by the Secretary General. It consist of 16 members who are Secretary General Assistants (SGAs) in the HQ and in the regional branches plus the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General. 4.The Secretary General (SG): The chief executive of the union . 5.The Headquarters: There are six assistants for the Secretary General (ASGs), working in close co-ordination with the Secretary General as follows: 1.ASG for Resources and Development 2. ASG for Coordination and External Affairs. 3.ASG for Research and Publications. 4.ASG for Information and Public Relations. 5.ASG for project and planning. 6.ASG for Administrative and Financial Affairs. 6. Regional Branches: They are 8 branches worldwide headed by ASGS as follows: 1.Assistant Secretary General for the Arab world (Mauritania). 2.Assistant Secretary General for Africa Region (Niger). 3.Assistant Secretary General for Asia Region (Pakistan) . 4.Assistant Secretary General for North America and Canada Region. (Canada). 5.Assistant Secretary General for South America and Pacific Region (Trinidad). 6.Assistant Secretary General for Australia & N. Zealand (Australia). 7.Assistant Secretary General for West Europe (Great Britain). 8.Assistant Secretary General for East Europe (Albania). 7.Advisory Bodies and Committees. The Secretary General (SG) appoints membership to such bodies, which shall work under her direct supervision. These bodies assist the SG in performing the functions of the union, each in the specific field. |
