The Center for Environmental Science and Policy (CESP) is one of five constituent centers within the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI). FSI is Stanford University?s primary forum for interdisciplinary research on key international issues and challenges. CESP is also an affiliated center of the Stanford Institute for the Environment (SIE). Formed in 2004, SIE is Stanford?s principal initiative for assessing environmental science, technology, and policy at local, national, and global scales. |
Number and type of members: |
CESP houses a senior staff of 21 drawn from throughout the university. All CESP senior fellows have appointments within departments in the schools of earth sciences, engineering, law, or humanities and sciences, thus bringing together a wide variety of disciplines and expertise. Research is supported by a staff of 11 research fellows and 8 postdoctoral and visting scholars. |
