Mission statement:	ASASS-Burundi is a non-profit, non-governmental association established with the Law, Decret-Loi No 1/011 of 18 April 1992 of the Republic of Burundi. ASASS-Burundi stands for Burundi and for its people, stands for Africa, stands for human rights all over the world. Human rights are the rights of humanity and every time they are violated, rejected, neglected it is humanity as a whole that suffers and pays the toll. The efforts are targeted towards the population that suffers the most from inequalities: children, youth, women and disadvantaged groups. We conduct field research to understand the current state of affairs in Burundi and identify the most pressing needs and then create programs to address these needs. ASASS-Burundi as a quick growing relief and development platform in Africa, it uses the New Technologies of Information and Communication (ICT) (both online and offline)to provids free global partnership opportunities for both public and private: -Youth and women Organisations -Alliance and coalition -Regional Network -Associate members -Individual volunteer -People Living with HIV (PLWA) -Professional Individual Consultants Together we support the realisation of MDGs while making a better community for All through "CULTURE OF PEACE".

Number and type of members:	ASASS-Burundi can count on more than 30 active members and the participation of more than 10 National Organisations. The Association is becoming a National Platform for development. It encourages information exchange/cooperation between NGOs/volunteers in the UN states and developing Countries.
