    Organizational structure: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE COMPOSITION i. Chairman ii. Vice-Chairman iii. General Secretary iv. Vice-General Secretary v. Treasurer vi. Vice-Treasurer vii. Public Relations Focal Point viii. Three (3) Committee Trustees ix. Executive Director x. Any other number of Trustees as may be determined by the Founding Council GENERAL DUTIES i. Shall be responsible for decision-making and the giving of direction to the organization ii. Shall select members of the various committees iii. Shall select members of the Advisory Board. iv. Shall, with the help of the Advisory Board have, the jurisdiction to employ, renew, retrieve and monitor the operations of the Secretariat. v. Shall select/approve the Matron/Patron of the ITEM. vi. Shall select/approve the Executive Director of the ITEM. vii. Each member may recommend youths who share the vision of the organisation and are capable of effectively contributing to the decision-making process, to become a member of the Executive Committee. viii. The existing committee may then sit, on approval by the Founding Council and ratify or not ratify this youth as a member.
    Number and type of members: MEMBERSHIP Being an Organisation set up for the betterment of the lives of the young generation and ultimately to promote the emergence of a Focused Next Generation, we understand that this takes a collective effort. We cannot work in isolation, thus, we need input from various stakeholders and the general public. For this reason, a Membership/Affiliation system is set up as follows: - Full time members - Part time members - Associate members - Honorary members - Corporate members FULL TIME MEMBERS i. Shall consist of all members of the National Executive Committee, and all full time employees of the Secretariat, including those at branch level. ii. Shall be eligible to attend and contribute at all quarterly, mid-year and AGMs of ITEM. iii. Shall have voting Rights. PART TIME MEMBERS i. Shall consist of all other persons working under the ITEM Secretariat or branches on part time basis. ii. Shall include dramatists, part time researchers and counselors. iii. Shall be eligible to attend Mid-Year and Annual General Meetings. iv. Shall have the right to contribute positively in these meetings. v. Shall have NO right to vote. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS i. Shall be persons or groups at the Local level, e.g. schools and communities affiliated to ITEM. ii. Shall be eligible to attend and participate at the End of Year General Meetings (AGM s). HONORARY MEMBERS i. Shall be appointed by National Executive Committee (NEC) ii. Shall be persons who contributed significantly to the fight against HIV/AIDS and/or other issues ITEM pursues. iii. Persons deemed as Role Models by the young generation shall also be considered. CORPORATE MEMBER i. Shall be Organisations/Institutions that share ITEM’s vision. ii. Shall include Sponsor Organizations and those that help ITEM in other forms of support. iii. Shall be eligible to send representatives to the Mid-Year and Annual General Meetings.
