Mission statement:	NGO Little People of Kosova is multiethnic nonprofit organization and network of national organizations or assemblies of persons with disabilities and minorities, established to promote implementation the Anti Discrimination Law and new Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, protection of human rights and development. Little People of Kosova has been accredited to participate in the work of the Ad Hoc Committee of the UN's General Assembly on a drafting the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Our representative Ms. H. Apuk worked on drafting text of CRPD. Little People of Kosova is accredited to the Conference of States Parties and our representatives attended at Third session of the Conference of States Parties (2010) and Fifth Session of the Conference of State Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ( 2012). Little People of Kosova participated at High-level meeting of the General Assembly on disability and development, 23 September 2013 (UNHQ – New York). Ms. Hiljmnijeta Apuk, laureate of prestigious UN prize of Human Rights for 2013 has been an activist for the rights of the persons with disabilities for over 30 years, both domestically as well as internationally. She is the founding director of the Little People of Kosovo organization and acts as national coordinator of an awareness campaign for employment possibilities of persons with disabilities. Ms. Apuk is also an artist, working to promote authentic culture of persons with disabilities through her artwork. Ms. Apuk was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee of the UN General Assembly on drafting of the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We work to MDG’s and the way forward: a disability-inclusive development agenda towards 2015 and beyond. We advocate for disability statistic, data base of persons with disabilities in Kosovo and other countries of Balkan region. We promote and develop authentic culture of persons with disabilities as tool of promotion CRPD. We aim to promote the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities and minorities. It serves to protect and ensure the full enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms of persons with disabilities and minorities, their dignity and participation as equal members of society. We promote freedom of expression and opinion, and access to information. It also aims to focus on women and children with disabilities of minorities. In addition, the organization seeks to encourage the participation of persons with disabilities of minorities in cultural life, recreation, leisure and sport. Furthermore, it promotes international cooperation and multi-ethnic co-operation of all communities living in Kosovo with regard to minorities of persons with disabilities. NGO Little People of Kosovo aims to make the public more sensitive toward minorities of persons with disabilities in Kosovo society. Little People of Kosova works in coalition with other national and international organizations for and of persons with disabilities and minorities to promote implementation Anti Discrimination Law and new Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities through full participation, equalization of opportunity and development. Development the authentic culture of persons with disabilities pointed to human rights and foster young talents of persons with disabilities is one of goals the Little People of Kosova. We are initiating and maintaining public awareness campaigns designed to nurture an effective receptiveness to the rights of persons with disabilities by Multiethnic Voluntary Promotional Program of DMD – Disability Mentoring Days ( idea from USA) that is annual package program of seven campaigns.

Number and type of members:	NGOs for and of all kinds of disabilities who partake in the Voluntary Program of Disability Mentoring Day - DMD (blindness, deafness, multiplex sclerosis, paraplegia, mental disabilities, learning disabilities, etc.) - Persons with one of the many restricted growth conditions. Of height up to 130 cm, with both proportionally and disproportionally restricted growth. - Persons without disabilities but who are supportive of the aims and objectives of the Little People Kosova in a professional or social capacity. - Volonteers are also supporting our goals and aims. Each member is equally valuable as they all have experiences and talents to offer.
