    Organizational structure: The African Women Millennium Initiative on Poverty and Human Rights (AWOMI) is a Non Governmental Organization founded in 2005 by the President Yassine Fall. AWOMI is managed by a program coordinator under the direction of the President during her free time. AWOMI profits from the expertise and the constant technical support of its President. AWOMI’s reports to its Board for its financial and programmatic management. Board members must be at least eighteen years old. They are elected for three years period renewable and confirmed by a third board membership. AWOMI‘s Board come from a variety of regions, religions and generations. Board members advise the president and give recommendations for cutting edge programming. They are supposed to support the organization’s fundraising efforts, disseminate AWOMI’ work and results promote networking and strengthen partnership building.
    Number and type of members: AWOMI staffs include: ¿ A Coordinator of Programs who oversees, under supervision of the President, the day to day work of AWOMI .; She supervises AWOMI expenses organizes Board meetings, and drafts reports’ Donors. She support AWOMI’s work in addressing gender equality related questions in poverty strategies and MDGs and building a constituency and organizations at local, national and regional levels that will monitor poverty elimination in particular implementation of the MDGs. ¿ A Policy and Communication Officer from France, who manage the Accountability tracking and provides support to the gender budget together with the Coordinator . She coordinates publications and reporting. She is in charge of development of an advocacy strategy for AWOMI linked to all its other programs. ¿ A Statistician who will support all the data collection and developpement and implementation of the accountability chart ¿ A Financial and Administrative Manager who manage AWOMI’s budget. She’s responsible of accountancy and financial management and prepares financial reports and statements. She facilitates AWOMI’s staff travels and manages efficiently equipment and material. ¿ ¿ A Gender Advisor she works closely in collaboration with the team of the Millennium project in the conception, the realization and the evaluation of priorities and specifics programs that involve women and girls based communities in the rural area. She represents AWOMI which is responsible of the gender mainstreaming in the Millennium project. A Research and Knowledge Program Manager who coordinates AWOMI’s research activities related gender, poverty and economic and social rights. She also works closely with the Press and other media groups to create awareness about AWOMI’s research work. ¿ A YOWLI Program Manager from Zambia who supports the networking and constituency building of the YOWLI (Young Women Leadership and knowledge Institute) members.. She coordinates the YOWLI program and follows up the post YOWLI 2006 activities. ¿ ¿ 3 international Interns and one national. Support staff Messenger/Security/backstopping Maintenance
