    Organizational structure: A Board of Directors, representing tuna canning and trade industry, scientific and environmental interests, governs the activities of the organization. The industry members, who support ISSF currently supply approximately 75 percent of the world’s canned tuna market, wish to participate in whatever programs are necessary to ensure the sustainability of the world’s tuna resources. A Scientific Committee advises the Board of Directors on matters of a scientific and technical nature.
    Number and type of members: Membership is comprised of tuna canning and trade industry, scientific, and environmental interests. The industry participants are represented by their Chief Executive Officer.
