Nigeria Labour Congress. Nigeria Labour Congress is the central body of trade unions in Nigeria. Thirty nine trade unions in both private and public sectors are affiliated to the NLC with a membership base of about 4 million workers. The Nigeria Labour Congress is a labour organisation that represents the interests of Nigerian workers. It negotiates for minimum wage, good welfare conditions for workers, collective bargaining, organising and unionising workers. It also conducts training for workers on topical issues. It creates awareness and sensitise workers on current and developmental issues. It networks with civil society organisations and NGOs through the Labour Civil Society Coalition. (LASCO)
