Mission statement:	Green Cameroon is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), founded in 2003. It is non-political, non-discriminating, non-profit making, governed by law No. 90/053 of 19/12/90, governing the creation and functioning of association in Cameroon and registered administratively under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization (MINATD), Cameroon. Mission: Conserve Cameroon’s rich biodiversity by working on practical solutions to solve conservation problems and build society’s capacity in the sustainable management of natural resources Vision: Green Cameroon’s vision is healthy ecosystems, healthy communities and development that considers the environment Role: Lobby for better environmental policies, work for the conservation of nature and promote community dynamics Goals: - Carry out and encourage activities that protect and conserve Cameroon’s montane, forest and aquatic resources - Inform and educate citizens on pertinent environmental issues and how they affect our health and quality of life - Encourage and promote sustainable agricultural and land management practices - Promote education for sustainable development at all levels of society Objectives: - Advocate and work for environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources. - Works to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on wildlife, and habitats. - Campaigns on the most urgent environmental and social issues of our times like global warming and climate change. - Alleviate poverty in rural areas by promoting sustainable agriculture in general and agro forestry in particular. - Encourage the involvement of youths in agriculture and nature conservation - Promote and encourage energy efficient technologies and practices. Our Creed: - We believe in a supreme being called God and that he created both living and non living things in his beauty. - That both living and non living things have the right to be there and have a role to play in the wellbeing of the earth. - That difference in colors, classes, countries, duties and wealth, should not come in to play when it comes to conservation issues. - That the respect for the environment and biodiversity is the respect for God and should be held in high esteem. Our Activities: - Environmental Education and Sensitization - Habitat conservation and restoration - Environmental Advocacy and Lobbying - Community development and poverty alleviation - Consultancy/Research
