Organizational structure: AfriGrowth, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing growth in needy communities. Founded on the belief that one of the greatest challenges we face in the world today is poverty, we focus on eliminating poverty through our programs in Education, Health, Nutrition, and Tourism. Effective growth is multi-dimensional, and our programs are patterned in a multi-dimensional way to effectively enhance growth. All our programs are however linked. A child born without health care has little chance of survival. Without education, is a liability to himself and his community. Without good nutrition, would die or be ravaged by disease. Without his culture promoted and preserved through, will lack an identity! TRAINING FOR NGOs AND CBOs Key to the attainment of organizations objectives is the need to bridge the capacity needs of such organizations, AfriGrowth¿s programme on training for NGO¿s and CBO¿s seeks to assist not-for-profit organizations to develop their capacities and competencies in order to be able to achieve their set our vision, mission and objectives. The establishment of a foundation resource center committed to empowering other organizations to be philanthropists in low-income communities by AfriGrowth is a step in the direction. Back to Top YOUTH MENTORING PROGRAM Youth development is a process which prepares young people to meet the challenges of adolescent and adulthood through a coordinated, progressive series of activities and experiences which help them to become a socially, morally, emotionally, physically and cognitively competent. Mentoring has been seen as a way of developing young people and preparing them for the challenges of life, for us AfriGrowth we have seen a measurable progress in this area of youth development hence our commitment to this. Back to Top ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN OUTREACH (OVC) It is really impossible to talk about enhancing growth in developing communities today without focusing on Orphans. In Africa as in most developing nations of the world today, there is an increased number of orphans as a direct result of Poverty, War, HIV/AIDS and other issues. Our orphan care program concentrates on working with established orphanages assisting with funds, nutrition, and other resources to promote the care of the child. We also focus on the under privileged and vulnerable children whose parents are either deceased or too poor to give their children an education.
