    Organizational structure: The organization has the legal entity of a non-governmental organization with democratic decision making procedures and organs. The organization's headquarters is based in Buenos Aires where a major part of work is done. The organization has two Focal Points in Europe, one based in Alicante/ Spain the other in Vienna/ Austria. The internal structure consists of the Directive Commission, the Commissions for Health, Human Rights, Advocacy and Work, the Volunteer Department and the Group of Ex Detainees.
    Number and type of members: GMAF has 90 national and international members. Most of them work on a vlountary basis. The members can be divided into the following member types: Directive Commission: 11 members Volunteers: 44 members Ex detainees: 25 members
