RUWACDA has a representative structure and possess appropriate mechanisms of accountability to its members, who are able to exercise effective control over its policies and actions through the
exercise of voting rights or other appropriate democratic and transparent decision-making processes. The Executive Director of RUWACDA with a Degree in Population and Family Life is the head of the management board and a signatory to the organization’s account. He oversees projects, staff management and reporting. The director of programs is in charge of proposal development and co-ordination of projects, monitoring and evaluation, project reporting and, a signatory to the account. The accountant, who is the Finance Director and for that matter, the Administrative Officer, is responsible for financial management, administration of the organization and reporting. He is also a signatory to the account. The Field Officers are responsible for supervising projects implementation and are in charge of managing volunteers who work on projects outreach activities. Except the secretary and the field officers who are on salary permanently, the other officers who may be part of a particular project implementation receive allowances and these are usually budgeted for. Decisions regarding the organization are usually made democratically at meetings of the Executive Committee which are then disseminated to all levels. |
