Mission statement:	MAVI is growing network of young leaders who have realized the need to get off the fence and join in the many efforts to help make the world a better place. Established in 2009 in Liberia and 2012 in the United States, we have since directed our efforts to working with schools and communities through clubs which promote peace, human rights, nonviolence, and help young people develop their full potentials. Our programs were carefully designed to meet the challenges facing young people in all regions. Our initiatives are carried out by volunteers, mainly students, who are so passionate about the issues of gun violence, corruption, human rights, the rule of law, and youth development which is the overall solution to address crime and encourage growth. MAVI programs were developed based on needs assessments to address specific problems identified by local people who are directly affected as a result of gun and economic violence and other practices that undermine development, personal growth, and stability. MAVI seeks to create a caravan for change, peace and nonviolence across the USA, Africa and to ensure that all people live in a community where there is justice, and the respect for human rights and freedom of expression.
